In her previous role, Melissa litigated various matters, including Labor Law §§ 240(1) and 241(6) cases and premises liability. She drafted reports, analyzed and evaluated cases for carriers to achieve favorable resolutions, and made court appearances on motions, discovery, and settlement conferences. Melissa also conducted and managed discovery and depositions and drafted pleadings and motions.

Melissa has over 25 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. She has handled a wide range of matters, including labor law, premises liability, property damage, toxic torts, and coverage issues, demonstrating her proficiency in all aspects of litigation.

Earlier in her career, Melissa was a staff attorney and program coordinator representing tenants in housing court, where she negotiated with property owners, coordinated social services and private agencies for matching grants, and developed a loan management program for low-income families facing eviction.
