Maxwell Bottini

Associate

Maxwell Bottini, an associate in Coffey Modica’s New York and Connecticut offices, successfully represents clients in complex matters involving construction litigation and defects, product liability litigation, transportation, premises liability, domestic and international reinsurance transactions including captive matters, and excess liability and casualty.

Overview

Max draws on his training as an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office to defend clients in high-profile, high-exposure catastrophic injury cases. While at the District Attorney’s Office, Max investigated and prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases, presented cases to the grand jury, and conducted jury trials to verdict. There, he honed his presentation skills, ability to present evidence, and legal acumen, which inform how he practices today.

He collaborates with founding partner Michael Coffey, who is known for handling some of the highest exposure cases nationally, and with Mike, often parachutes into cases at the 11th hour, when the defendants need the most accomplished, aggressive representation possible.

Now, as a fourth-year associate, Max has tried 11 cases to verdict and has settled even more cases that provides optimal resolutions for his clients.

Max is the recipient of the Glasser Scholarship and Brooklyn Law School’s Pro Bono Silver Award.
