Firm Managing Partner
Max Bottini is the Firm Managing Partner, heading the General Liability, Tort, and Insurance Defense department. He represents clients in catastrophic loss, construction litigation (New York Labor Law), commercial litigation, professional liability, products liability, premises liability, transportation, dram shop, and other complex tort matters for primary and excess insurers, as well as real estate development, zoning, and environmental law and related litigation, where he assists clients with land use permitting and regulatory compliance. His practice also includes domestic and international reinsurance transactions, including captive matters.

Overview
With experience in over 50 trials, more than 25 cases tried to verdict, and approximately 75 juries selected, Max plays a lead role in developing defense strategies and preparing cases for trial.
A former Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, Max prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases and tried numerous cases to verdict — experience that sharpened the presentation and evidentiary skills he brings to his practice today. He also has appellate and federal court experience, having authored and argued several appeals in the First, Second, and Third Appellate Divisions.
Max leads the firm’s Veterans Disability Benefits Practice, providing firmwide oversight to ensure veterans receive thorough representation throughout the VA disability process — inspired in part by his brother’s military service.
Max is an alumnus of The Hotchkiss School, holds a B.A. from Villanova University, and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he received the M. Glasser Scholarship and Brooklyn Law School’s Pro Bono Silver Award.
