Jodi Ritter is a Partner at Coffey Modica’s White Plains offices, where she brings a wealth of experience from her extensive career in insurance defense litigation. With more than 25 years in the insurance industry, Jodi has a well-established track record of success. Her expertise was honed over eleven years as a partner in a major insurance defense firm, followed by significant roles including branch manager, handling and overseeing complex claims and litigation strategies.

Overview
Jodi’s adeptness in the courtroom includes conducting trials, mediations, and arbitrations. As a seasoned litigator, Jodi has managed caseloads encompassing excess and primary general commercial liability, premises, motor vehicle, negligent security, labor law and construction, trucking, transportation, products, and a wide array of other complex claims. Her strategic approach to litigation, coupled with her strong negotiation skills, has consistently yielded favorable results for her clients.
Before joining Coffey Modica LLP, Jodi spearheaded the development and launch of the Sompo Global Risk Solutions program at Gallagher Bassett Services, nurturing the general liability claims program from its nascent stage to a robust operation with over 150 adjusters, over 10,000 claims and over 2,500 insureds.
Other key roles held by Jodi include Partner at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP, an 800+ attorney insurance defense firm where she independently managed a caseload of 50–80 litigation matters in state and federal courts. Jodi also served as Special Narcotics Prosecutor/Assistant District Attorney at the Office of The Special Narcotics Prosecutor in New York, and Assistant District Attorney at Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn — where she achieved and maintained a 100% conviction rate in both roles.
As a New York Law School alumna with bar admissions in New York, Connecticut, and various federal courts as well as her adjuster licenses in 33 states, Jodi brings a depth of legal knowledge to the firm.
