Braxton J. Chipman is an associate in Coffey Modica’s New York offices. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate attorney at Simon Meyrowitz & Meyrowitz, PC in New York, where he assisted in commercial real estate transactions and managed a commercial litigation caseload.

Overview

Braxton has demonstrated exceptional skill in managing complex caseloads, drafting critical legal documents, and representing clients in various court settings, including the New York County Supreme Court and New York City Civil Court.

Before joining Coffey Modica, Braxton honed his legal skills as a law clerk at A. Ferraris Law, PLLC, handling consults and litigation preparations to help secure settlements for consumer fraud clients. His tenure as a student attorney at the Education Advocacy Clinic of the University of Arizona allowed him to gain firsthand experience in education law, advocating successfully in special education disputes. In his work at the Law Office of Corey A. Simon, PLLC, and Strong & Hanni PC, he gained valuable experience in criminal defense and civil litigation.

During law school, Braxton excelled academically and contributed significantly to the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law as a note and comment editor. He was recognized for outstanding performance in sports lawyering with a CALI Excellence Future Award®. Braxton graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Health Policy from the University of Utah, where he was a Dean’s List honoree and received a foreign language areas studies scholarship for Portuguese.

Braxton is fluent in Portuguese, reflecting his broad cultural understanding and communication skills. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is an ardent sports fan who enjoys golfing and exploring new movies.
