Before joining the firm, Drake served as a financial lines claims analyst at a major multinational insurance carrier, where he evaluated policy language, represented carrier interests at mediations and negotiations, and managed high-exposure claims across the directors and officers, employment practices liability, financial institutions, bankers professional liability, and crime sectors. He also worked within an excess casualty claims division, evaluating major loss reports and resolving open claims.

Drake began his legal career as a judicial intern to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Julie A. Manning in the District of Connecticut. His background also includes corporate legal work managing commercial contracts and regulatory agency compliance for a multinational consumer goods corporation.

Drake earned his J.D., cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he served as publication editor of the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal and received the Excellence in Clinical Legal Education and Superior Classroom Performance Award. He received a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in political science, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University.
