Overview
Before joining Coffey Modica, Steven was an associate attorney who represented plaintiffs in medical malpractice and personal injury cases throughout New York. In this role, he gained valuable experience in trial preparations, court appearances, and various phases of litigation, including drafting and executing summary judgment motions, conducting depositions, and corresponding with medical experts.
Steven’s legal career began with an internship at the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, where he worked in the Special Investigations Unit. This experience provided him with insight into criminal prosecutions and honed his skills in legal research, case preparation, and courtroom procedures.
Before embarking on his legal career, Steven worked as a legal assistant at several law firms and gained experience in landlord/tenant law and real estate transactions. These roles helped him develop strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
During law school at The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, Steven was recognized on the Dean’s list. He received the Elisabeth Haub Merit Scholarship, Bundy Fund Award, and Pace Law Grant.
