Kathleen Miller
Associate
Kathleen Miller practices in the areas of general and professional liability. She handles all aspects of litigation from inception through trial, which includes counseling clients, drafting pleadings and motions, performing oral arguments, and achieving favorable negotiations and settlements for her clients.
Overview
Most of Kathleen’s career has focused on insurance defense work, working for a national AmLaw 200 law firm and regional mid-sized firms handling general liability, medical malpractice and insurance coverage matters. She also defended indigent defendants as a staff attorney at Suffolk County Legal Aid Society.
Also of note is Kathleen’s experience as an extern for the United States Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York, where she assisted the Assistant U.S. Attorneys with trial preparation and her role as a research assistant for several law school faculty members.
Prior to attending law school, Kathleen served as a tenured elementary school teacher and an owner and operator of a furniture store.
