Experienced in insurance defense, New York labor law, and construction matters, she is a strong legal writer and particularly enjoys unraveling the “puzzles” presented in the law. For instance, in a case at her former firm, she discovered that a provision in a workers’ compensation agreement did not apply to her client, as an insured’s broken nose was not a “broken bone,” as the rules for coverage stipulated, but broken cartilage, not covered by the rules.

Isidora draws on her undergraduate degree in psychology, where she learned the art of listening intently, to actively listen to clients, witnesses and experts to determine the strengths and weaknesses of a case and the appropriate litigation strategy and resolution.

While in law school, Isidora joined the Gonzaga Immigration Law Clinic, where she, who immigrated to the U.S. from Yugoslavia (now Serbia), worked on immigration petitions and appeals for individuals from around the world. She was perhaps her most memorable client, as, like other foreign students, she was threatened with deportation by the federal government during the worst period of the Covid epidemic. She prevailed.

Isidora later worked at the Federal Tax Law Clinic, where she provided legal aid to marginalized individuals across the United States in federal tax law cases. Upon graduating, she interned for a solo practitioner in New Jersey, handling municipal law, personal injury, and federal bankruptcy cases.
