An associate in Coffey Modica’s New York offices, Dua Tahir provides clients with a breadth of experience handling premises liability, construction accidents, product liability and general liability matters. She is adept at managing active caseloads and adds value to her cases with a 360-degree understanding of insurance defense matters, having worked for a plaintiff-side personal injury firm in addition to defense firms.
Overview
Dua supports her litigation teams by reviewing pleadings, medical reports, insurance documents and other discovery to advise clients and insurance carriers of potential liability. She is a detailed investigator and enjoys assisting senior partners with preparing depositions, witnesses and expert testimony. A skilled writer, Dua prepares motions and other legal documents and works with clients on reporting mechanisms that meet their criteria.
Focused on honing her skills, Dua volunteered as a student attorney at Hofstra Law School’s Young Advocacy Clinic and Deportation Defense Clinic.
Dua is a licensed notary public. She is fluent in Urdu and conversational in Punjabi and Arabic.
